This page includes the materials for my composition 1120 courses at Auburn University from Spring 2012. The assigned theme for this course was Science & Technology. Working within that theme, I chose to challenge my students to consider, research and create a written argument about ideas that are changing our world. My students were free to write about any science or technology that interested them so long as it fit 2 criteria: 1) That the science or technology has been created/developed or significantly advanced since 1980, and 2) That the science or technology is somehow changing our world. The resulting research papers explored topics from smart phones to space travel, and even new ways to handle mosquitoes in your backyard.
