Part II: Reflective Essay

One of the goals of this course has been to learn the value of revision. To this end, I have required that you each revise your papers as part of a final portfolio; this allows you not only the opportunity to improve your grade, but also to learn from past mistakes and create better, stronger arguments in writing. In an essay of no less than 200 words, reflect on how you used revision on the major assignments for this class. What did you learn about the value of revision? How can you use revision in your future classes? If you did not revise until the end of the semester (or at all) how might you try to use revision differently in the future? Do you think that revision is important to the writing process? What are some methods you used to revise? Do you think the revision and portfolio process was helpful to you?
